Description
Flowers: March-April. Plant in part shade or woodland. HxS 45x60cm
A recent cultivar of an Algerian species, with shiny evergreen leaves and bright yellow flowers spurs quite early in the spring. The leaves and flowers on this selection are much larger than the species. It grows best in a shade or a woodland setting where it will quickly form low ground cover. Easy to grow, pest and disease resistant. A ‘plant and forget’ plant for ground cover. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Cut back the older leaves in February to allow the flowers to be seen, just as you would with Hellebores. Divide the fibrous roots to propagate during dormancy.
