Athyrium filix-femina is the lovely native Lady Fern which grows well in glades and has dainty bright green fronds with an upright shuttlecock habit. Ultra hardy and moisture loving, they are also happy as waterside plants. It is deciduous, collapsing at the first frosts, but attractive over winter if the fronds are not cut back. The Lady Fern is less coarse than the Male Fern and it is tolerant of sun for part of the day. Pot size 1.5 litre.
PLEASE NOTE THESE PLANTS ARE NOT PEAT FREE.
Care & Maintenance.
Leave old fronds on over the winter to protect the crown. Propagate by division in early spring.
