ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In placing an order with us by completing the checkout process you are deemed to have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions of Shipping.  Please note that we ship to the UK and European Union only.

  • Overwintered Orders
    Orders place between 1 November – 28 February are usually overwintered at the nursery for delivery in early March.  Of  course, if you want your order straight away we will send out what we have available, the remainder in spring.  We are one of the very few nurseries offering this service.
  • National Trust/RHS Garden/Wildfowl&Wetland Trust
    We are an approved and registered supplier on the Proactis Supplier Network.  Order online or enquire and we will invoice you.  You can send then us your purchase order by email.
  • Methods of Payment
    We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, BACS and Cheques, (drawn on British Banks in GBP sterling only, and made payable to Penlan Perennials).  EU customers agree to accept any charges incurred in BACS transactions.

UK ORDERING (This site complies with EU Distance Selling Regulations)
All online orders and payments are acknowledged by email and we dispatch parcels quickly, usually within a working day or two of receiving your order.  Our courier delivers NEXT DAY (in a 1 hour pre-notified time slot. Notification to you by SMS or email). We can also deliver plants as a gift on your behalf, or to a neighbour or your place of work. OUR COURIER USUALLY REQUIRES A SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY.  Where delivery is required without a signature we can leave the parcel in a safe place however our insurance is invalid in these circumstances and therefore we accept no liability once a parcel has been delivered to you.

United Kingdom (by telephone, email, post or collection from the nursery)
We understand that you may prefer to pay by cheque or BACS (you can still order online and use these payment options at checkout). Alternatively download a free catalogue, order form and ordering instructions from our homepage.  We also accept orders by telephone (with a debit or credit card). Orders can be collected free of charge from the nursery by prior arrangement.

CARRIAGE CHARGES

Collection from the Nursery ~ FREE

UK Zone 1 ~ England, Wales and Southern Scotland
Delivery by overnight courier in a pre-notified one hour slot. Parcels are insured and your plants are delivered the next working day. Normally a signature is required (see above). Some small orders may be sent using Royal Mail First Class.

Delivery cost: £8.50 (1-6 plants) £12.00 (7-20 plants) Additional plants thereafter 50p

UK Zones 2 and 3 ~ Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Scilly Isles, Isle Of Man, Isle of Wight
Royal Mail Parcel Service or Parcelforce 48. Most parcels are next day or two day delivery to remote areas. No signature is required on delivery.

Delivery cost: £15.00 (1-6 plants) £22.00 (7-20 plants) Additional plants thereafter 50p

UK Channel Islands
You will be prompted to ask for ‘Quote Shipping’ when ordering and you will not be able to checkout until we email you with a quote.

EUROPEAN (EU) ORDERING

You may view € euro prices by clicking on the currency box on the home page. We accept payment in Euros by all major credit and debit cards or you can pay by Bank Transfer.

When you reach the checkout you will open an account with us.  If you are an EU resident you will be required to ask for a ‘shipping quote’ based upon your delivery address.  We will send this to you by email and your order is automatically updated ready to checkout or cancel.

Shipping is charged at cost and includes insurance and tax.  Small parcels (under 2kg) are sent by airmail using Royal Mail but to give you some idea we would expect a 5kg parcel to the EU to cost approximately GBP20 by courier, who reach most parts of the EU within 3-4 days.  All orders acknowledged and we dispatch parcels within a day or two of receiving your payment. We can deliver to your home or place of work and you may need to sign for the parcel on arrival. We will email you upon dispatch with an order tracking number, if there is one, so you can watch the progress of your parcel.

WARRANTIES and RETURNS
We believe all plants sent out by us are true to name and every effort is made to ensure they are of the best quality. We offer no warranty as to description, quality or any other matter. Due to poor planting conditions, unfavourable weather or neglect, plants will fail and therefore we will only consider complaints made within seven days of receiving the plants. On receipt plants should be unpacked and inspected. If the plants are damaged or are unacceptable to you please contact us. We will always endeavour to resolve any complaint quickly and to your satisfaction, by replacing plants or offering a refund. We may ask for the plants to be returned, in which case we will refund the return postage. Nothing in this statement should be construed as a change to your statutory rights as a consumer.

ORDER CANCELLATION
You may cancel your order up to the day prior to dispatch. The dispatch date will be the date notified in our email acknowledgement of your order.  If you decide to cancel your order you must notify us by email. We will refund any monies you have paid to us less a 5% administration charge which we will make to cover the credit card charges deducted from your payment by WorldPay and our own administrative costs.

SUBSTITUTES
No substitutes are offered. We try to keep stock levels on the website accurate but if for any reason we cannot supply a plant you have paid for we will make an immediate refund and let you know.
