Our ‘Overwintering Service’ operates between 1 November – 28 February each year. If you order during this period we will hold your plants for you and send them as soon as the weather is suitable for planting in early March. Of course, if you want them straight away we will still send them immediately. Some plants listed at this time of year may be newly potted for spring so would not be sent until then unless you have your own winter protection such as a polytunnel or greenhouse.
Julie and Graham Moore took ownership of the Nursery on 1 October 2018 and look forward to supplying you with high quality, peat free, organically grown plants. Look out for our extended range of grasses and new Shrubs and Hosta varieties!
Our plants have always been grown organically in peat-free compost, without the use of chemical pesticides or artificial fertilisers. We have been recognised as a top 100 company in the Green Guide to Wales, have had a Green Dragon Environmental Award since 2007 and received the 2014 Environmental Excellence Award from Horticulture Wales. We use recycled materials wherever possible. Our compost is Melcourt Sylvamix and we add Met52, an organic Vine Weevil deterrent to all our plants.
I received my plants today superbly and safely packaged. The plants are top class and you are certainly the best nursery I have dealt with on line.

Just to let you know that your parcel travelled all the way to Italy and arrived at lunch time today. Three days from order to delivery and a day before I expected. It was well packed and suffered no damage, all the plants are really healthy and attractive. Thank you for your help and great plants at excellent value.

That is completely fantastic! I ordered on Monday morning and they are here Wednesday morning! I assumed Id messed up for a Thursday and Friday planting, but no! You are amazing, thanks. Also it helped knowing as I was filling my basket that the were restricted numbers of chosen plants because I could immediately amend my order.

Hello, I just wanted to write and say how very happy I have been with the beautiful, healthy plants I have had from you and the speediness of their arrival. I placed my order wednesday morning and the plants were with me Thursday afternoon, fantastic service! I have ordered from you several times and will continue to do so in the future!

Hello to Penlan Perennials, Thank you very much for all your help with the search for my special plant. The delivery arrived fast and within the time slot the courier had announced in an email. The spacious carton contained the three Geranium pots and the plants themselves were securely wrapped in moist paper(each secured within a plastic cover). The box was padded with extra sheets of paper which had helped to keep the pots and plants in place. Thank you also for the care leaflets. I am very happy with the service and plants you provided.

Would just like to say a huge thankyou for the order of 6 hardy geraniums which have been successfully delivered and planted! I cant believe how speedily and efficiently you dealt with this. I ordered them on Saturday 11th May, you replied to say they would be despatched on Monday 13th and delivered on Tuesday 14th-which they were. The plants were very carefully and securely packed, and I have to say the quality of them all is first class. I planted them yesterday, and I hope they enjoy the climate here in Buckinghamshire-perhaps slightly more benign than Wales!! Once again thankyou for everything-first class service, first class plants.

I have just taken delivery of my plants on Friday- Wow that is some service. The plants were a joy to open and all in lovely condition and such an excellent size that makes them such good value for money. The last ones I had have been really good in my garden that is, as you would expect, very exposed but not too much frost in winter. I have told a few people about you and will pass on the leaflets you sent. Bless you for such prompt attention and lovely plants.

A huge THANKYOU to all at Penlan Perennials – I wanted a particular plant for a present and had tried all local garden centres to no avail. I then contacted you yesterday – unfortunately it was the day before I needed the plant and your courier service had already gone. You did however put the transaction through and sent the plant first class and it arrived the very next morning! I cannot thank you enough as I now have the plant wrapped and ready for my parents wedding anniversary today. Thank you so much!

Just to say thank you very much. The plants arrived – all good and healthy – lovingly packed and all present and correct. May I congratulate you on your service and the quality of your plants. A number of mail order firms send out tired plants with half the root mass as yours have – or send out tiny little specimens that dont weather the transportation nearly as well as bigger plants. Well done!

I really like the plants that arrived in perfect condition to Hungary and now are waiting for the spring in my garden. English plants in a Hungarian garden. They found their home. I could not be happier than this !
