Description
Flowers: April-June. Plant in part shade. HxS 60cmx50cm
Heart-shaped, rose-red and white flowers hang from arching, red stems. Name change from Dicentra spectabilis but commonly known as Bleeding Heart. Ideal in a cottage garden setting. Great for part shade but will tolerate full sun if the soil is kept moist. Prefers neutral to alkaline soil. Hardiness rating H6. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Can cause stomach upset if ingested and foliage may be an irritant.
Care & Maintenance.
Very easy to grow. Divide in early spring or take root cuttings in winter.
