Flowers: May-September.  Plant in full sun.  HxS 25x30cm

This is a lovely compact geranium forming tight mounds of neat dark green foliage with good autumn colour.  The flowers are dark purple with a tiny white eye.  Cranesbills are tolerant of most soils and excellent in dry soil, as are all the members of this species.  Hardy to -20C.  Try it on banks or slopes, or the mixed herbaceous border.

Care & Maintenance.

If you are going to plant in dry soil then water well until established.  Tidy by cutting to the ground in early spring before the new shoots emerge.  Propagate by division in early spring.
