Description

Flowers: May to late August.  Plant in sun or part shade.  HxS 45x45cm

This Cranesbill is probably a hybrid of Geranium platypetalum and as such is ultra hardy.  It has a low growing habit and grows in most soils.  The flowers are a rich blue and are cupped in appearance, with darker veining.  After flowering all summer the leaves turn an attractive red in autumn.  Herbaceous in habit, it makes excellent weed-suppressing ground cover.  Easy, being pest and disease resistant. Pot size 1.5 litre.

Care & Maintenance.

Deadhead to promote flowering. Divide every four or five years to stimulate the plant.  It has not set seed for us so may be sterile.
