Description

Flowers: May-July & September.  Plant in full shade.  HxS 90x75cm

A superb foliage plant with very large leaves, heavily splotched with chocolate brown, and species-typical maroon phaeum flowers.  This hybrid originated in Croatia and was introduced by the late Elizabeth Strangman at Washfield Nursery.  The phaeum family is valuable for its ability to grow in deep and dry shade for a long period, having evergreen leaves as a bonus.  Excellent for woodland ground cover or among bulbs in the spring garden. Pot size 1.5 litre.

Care & Maintenance.

Will repeat flower in September if cut back hard in July.  Propagate by division in spring.  Pest and disease resistant.
