Description

Flowers: April-July.  Plant in part or full shade.  HxS 15x60cm

This is an ideal plant for ground cover in shady places, being evergreen and having a carpeting habit.  It has lobed, dark green leaves, like those of a strawberry, which give it the common name of barren strawberry.  The leaves creep close to the ground and stems produce masses of bright yellow, saucer-shaped flowers from late spring to mid-summer.  Native to Siberia so ultra-hardy, pest and disease resistant.

Care & Maintenance.

Tidy tatty or winter damaged leaves in spring.  Propagate by seed or by breaking off creeping stems and planting them, or potting them up.
