Flowers: April-June.  Plant in part shade or woodland.  HxS 30x30cm

Merrybells is one of the first signs of spring in woodland gardens in America.  The elegant deep yellow bells emerge just as the plant is coming through the ground and continue to flower as the plant grows taller.  A choice small plant for the woodland garden and excellent under deciduous trees.  Pest and disease resistant.  Hardy and enjoys an acid soil.  AGM.  Hardiness rating H5.

Care & Maintenance.

The plant dies back in autumn and foliage can be cleared before winter.  Propagation by seed or division in spring, carefully dividing the rhizome so there is a growing point on each piece.
