Pulmonaria ‘Blue Ensign’ is one of the earliest lungwort to flower, with plain green foliage and stunning rich blue flowers, which fade to purple. This plant is best grown in a rich, well manured soil which does not dry out in summer. Sometimes they go dormant in dry summers, but will re-appear with autumn rain. AGM. Hardiness rating H6. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Plant these out as soon as you receive them as Pulmonaria do not grow well in pots! Keep the soil moist, as plants can be susceptible to mildew in very dry conditions. Divide in autumn or early spring.
