Flowers: May-June. Plant in part shade or woodland. HxS 45x45cm
Scented, native Solomon’s Seal. An AGM plant which is a must for any woodland planting using UK natives. The single waxy flowers have a tinged green tip and are very fragrant, appearing in early summer. Best grown in a moist soil if possible and cuts well for flower arrangements. Hardiness rating H7.
We have no sawfly at the nursery and would recommend you avoid this plant if you have gooseberry sawfly in your garden.
Care & Maintenance.
Divide the rhizomes in autumn or spring to propagate, or easily grown from seed, but much slower. Sawfly can strip the leaves in affected gardens so we recommend you do not grow this is you grow soft fruit!
