Flowers: March to May. Plant in part shade. HxS 25x25cm
Vivid blue tubular flowers held above finely dissected dark green foliage. It has the reputation of being difficult to overwinter but some raised young plants are often treated to force flowering and we always remove the flowers in the first year, allowing the plant to build up strength in the tuberous roots and overwinter. Normally the plants go dormant in late summer but in cool years they will remain semi-evergreen and produce a second flush of flowers! Easy in partial shade under deciduous trees or shrubs, where it will build to a good clump.
Care & Maintenance.
Feed after flowering and allow to die back naturally. Tease out small tuberous divisions in spring, mix with compost and spread where you want them, no division is required. Can be raised from seed but is variable.SKU: CORFPD
