Description
Flowers: June-September. Plant in full sun/part shade. HxS 1.5m x 1m
Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster’ or Feather reed grass, has flat, arching leaves with bronze flowering panicles that fade to pale brown giving good year-round interest. Great as a vertical accent in the late season or grass border as can form clumps up to 2m high if grown in moist soil. For those who suffer with hay fever, this grass is sterile and therefore produces no pollen. Hardiness rating H6. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance
Divide in mid-spring or cut back old growth to the ground in early spring before new growth appears. Pest free but can be affected by rust in wet summers.
