Description
Flowers: May-July. Plant in part shade. HxS 45x45cm
The beautifully variegated foliage with clear cream edges make this astrantia look very imposing in a shady area. The flowers are a pale pink with green and white bracts. A superb spring foliage plant disliking hot summer sun, which causes it to lose the variegation. Cool moist soil in a shady border or woodland is preferred. Variegation usually takes a season to develop in the newer foliage. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Keep out of full sun. Can be divided in spring but does not come true from seed.
