Description

Flowers: May-June.  Plant in light or part shade.  HxS 75x40cm

From Nepal and the Indian Himalaya, this resembles Arisaema concinnum . The snakeskin mottled stems are topped with wavy circular leaves and the purple and white tubular spathe hides the spadix, hence the nickname ‘Castrated Jack’!  Stolons
can emerge up to 40cm away from the main plant once it is established.  Easy to grow in a light garden soil.  Pot size 2 litre or tuber.  Organically grown in peat free compost. Hardiness zone H7.

Care & Maintenance.

Can be propagated by seed or careful separation of the stoloniferous stems.  Plant deeply, at least 10cm/4in down.
