Description
Flowers: July-August. Plant in part shade. HxS 1.25mx45cm
This Monkshood provides good contrast to the midnight-blue forms, carrying tall spires of pale silvery-blue flowers above finely divided foliage. The effect is somewhat similar to Delphinium. Excellent as a cut flower. All Monkshood prefer rich, moist soil and perform best in cool areas of the garden. They rarely need to be staked despite their architectural presence. CAUTION: toxic if eaten/harmful via skin. Very good in clay soils. Hardiness rating H7. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Cut down old stems in autumn or early spring. Best propagated by division, but you might get some interesting colour breaks if you sow seed.
