Standing upto 80cm tall is this beautiful candelabra primula with a basal rosette of crinkly, light-green, broad leaves and stems with whorls of white flowers in late spring or early summer. Prefers a moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soil and looks great round the edges of ponds. Hardiness zone H6. Pot size 1.5 litre.

Care and maintenance.

Dead head to extend the flowering season, but allow the final flowers to seed about if wanted.  Mulch the crown in hard winters and propagate by dividing the plants between autumn and early spring or take bare-root cuttings in winter.
