Description
Flowers: May-July. Plant in sun or part shade. HxS 1.25mx60cm
A rather unusual name for this attractive pale primrose water iris, however it does mean we can use it openly with customers! There are no dark markings on the falls and the flowers are lightly scented. It also flowers for longer than Iris pseudacorus. Easy to grow in moist soil or as an aquatic marginal, it will flower from late May to early July and has attractive slender sword-shaped leaves. Planting depth in water up to 25cm/10in. Pot size 1 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Remove old foliage in spring and split every three or four years to maintain vigour. It can also be divided after flowering, remember to plant the rhizome on or near the surface of the soil or compost. Comes true from seed, which is best sown fresh.
