Flowers: May-June.  Plant in full sun/part shade.   HxS  30x10cm

Very easy, shorter species for naturalising in grass around ponds or the edges of bogs. Deep, violet-blue flowers and pretty foliage of variegated, long, narrow creamy-edge leaves which disappear in late summer.  At least five bulbs per pot, organically grown in peat free compost. Ideal as a cut flower.

Care & Maintenance.

As a bulb this needs virtually no maintenance.  Remove old foliage after dormancy.  Propagate by seed or division of the bulbs at any point during dormancy.
