Description

Flowers: June – October.  Plant in sun or part shade.  HxS 40x60cm

Very large white flowers, beautifully veined in purple. Flowering all summer and autumn over mounding light green foliage. An excellent front of border plant for well drained soil.  This is the first white G. himalayense in cultivation. Makes low clumps that slowly spread to make ideal plants for the front of borders.  The leaves are a bit more divided on ‘Derrick Cook’ than other cultivars, often with a faint red tinge around the edges.  Collected by Derrick Cook in Nepal in 1985 but didn’t get distributed more widely until the early 2000’s.

Care & Maintenance.

Tidy in early spring and propagate by division as seedlings will not come true. Easy in a well drained soil.
