A woody semi-evergreen, spreading perennial with bluish-green leaves and dense racemes of bell-shaped purple/blue flowers that are held on reddish stems in the summer. Ideal as a cut flower. Hardiness H4. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer or semi-hardwood cuttings in mid-summer. Can be divided in spring. Cut back by half after flowering to encourage a second flush. Cut back to base in the spring as the top growth protects the plant over winter. Will not come true from seed.
