Athyrium filix-femina 'Rotstiel'
4.50
Common Name: Red Stemmed Lady Fern
Flowering Period: Non flowering
UK Native? Yes - but a German hybrid
Pot Size: 2 litre

Plant in light or part shade.  HxS 75x60cm

This is the Red Stemmed Lady Fern which grows well in glades and has dainty bright green fronds with an upright shuttlecock habit. Ultra hardy and moisture loving, they are also happy as waterside plants. Deciduous, collapsing at the first frosts, but attractive over winter if the fronds are not cut back. Although native, this is a new and particularly good German introduction.  It is tolerant of sun for part of the day.

This plant was added to our catalogue on Tuesday 24 February, 2004.

Customer Comments!

We were so impressed by your service, thank you. You have been a pleasure to deal with. The plants arrived amazingly promptly and they were packaged and packed very carefully, with clear instructions/tips where necessary (but not too much - which can be off-putting!). The plants themselves were in lovely condition. Pond/bog planting is a new venture for us, but weve got them all in and are really pleased and excited to see how they develop! Thanks for helping to make this happen, and Im sure well be in touch in time to ask for more plants, or advice. Will also recommend you highly to everyone else. All best wishes, Jane and Gareth.
