Primula florindae
£3.95
Common Name: Giant Himalayan Cowslip
Flowering Period: May-July
UK Native? No - Tibet
Pot Size: 1.5 litre
The Royal Horticultural Societys Award of Garden Merit (AGM)

(5-7 sun/light shade)   90x60cm

The giant cowslip has similar candelabra-like flowers to other Asian primula species but altogether much larger in all parts, growing to 1m/3ft in ideal conditions. The large drooping heads of yellow, sometimes orange or blood red flowers on tall stems are held well clear of the foliage. Intoxicating spicy scent is an additional bonus and is carried for some distance. Will grow in shallow water but must have wet or boggy conditions if grown in sun.

This plant was added to our catalogue on Tuesday 24 February, 2004.

Customer Comments!

What wonderful service! Im delighted with (a) your online site which is beautifully set out and so easy to negotiate (b) the speed with which my order was dealt with and confirmed (c) the delivery service which I was checking on the computer, when the door bell went (9.45am) and there were the plants! and lastly the wonderful packing and condition of the plants. First class service and to be recommended. Very many thanks. MP, Newcastle on Tyne (March 2008)
