Found in a Devon hedgerow by Bevis, a local hedgecutter, in 1876 and most prized by collectors. Lance shaped, bi-pinnate, dark green fronds taper to a point and usually lack spores, however the rootstock splits to separate crowns allowing division, but only slowly! Easy in a well drained soil in a sheltered site.
