Does not flower.  Plant in part, full or deep shade.  HxS 45x45cm

Asplenium scolopendrium or the Hart’s Tongue Fern has leathery, strap-like fronds with elongated sori on the undersides.  It is an excellent fern in moist soils, is very tolerant of deep shade and ultra hardy.  It grows well at the base of banks or under trees and prefers a neutral to alkaline soil.  It is evergreen and native to the UK.  AGM.  Hardiness rating H7. Pot size 1.5 litre.

Care & Maintenance.

Older fronds become tatty over time and are best removed to allow new growth to come through.  Large clumps can be divided in spring.  This fern will also reproduce from spores.
