| Flowers: April-May. Plant in full sun. HxS 15x30cm
This low growing form produces its deeply lobed, narrow leaves in autumn, over wintering in leaf and flowering in spring. The flowers are large and showy over finely dissected foliage. Tuberous and fully hardy, this Russian geranium spreads quite slowly and is summer dormant and gone by July! Good for underplanting, the front of a border or in the rock garden or scree bed. Any well drained soil in sun. Care and maintenance. Being summer dormant it is useful to mark where you planted it! Tidy old foliage by cutting back in August, after dormancy. Propagate by separating the rhizomes in early Autumn, or by seed. |
