Geranium 'Jolly Bee'
£4.95
Common Name: Cranesbill
Flowering Period: May-October
UK Native? No - garden origin
Pot Size: 1.5 litre
The Royal Horticultural Societys Award of Garden Merit (AGM)

Legal action by Blooms of Bressingham has led to the withdrawal from sale, by Marco Van Noort, of Geranium 'Jolly Bee'. There is a very interesting resume of the whole story at the link here:

www.hortweek.com/channel/OrnamentalsProduction/article/997154/Van-Noort-forced-stop-growing-geranium-type-DNA-testing/

For what it is worth: I have grown Geranium 'Jolly Bee' since it was first introduced and have always said it was difficult to distinguish from G. 'Rozanne', which I have also grown, however for me 'Jolly Bee' was the better plant of the two. If you would like this plant we now sell it under the name Geranium 'Rozanne'.

This plant was added to our catalogue on Tuesday 24 February, 2004.

Customer Comments!

When you buy plants by mail order there is an element of trust involved and I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with the service that Penlan Perennials provide. The website and online ordering system is well thought out and efficient and the speed with which the plants are despatched and delivered is excellent. The plants are all exactly as you promised and all have a good root system and look strong and healthy. NF, Devon, September 2006
