Athyrium filix-femina 'Frizelliae'
£4.50
Common Name: Tatting Fern
Flowering Period: Does not flower
UK Native? Yes
Pot Size: 1.5 litre
The Royal Horticultural Societys Award of Garden Merit (AGM)

(part/full shade)   30x60cm

An unusual, deciduous fern, very unlike the normal Lady Fern, with 25cm/8" fronds made up of small, lacy, rounded pinnae alternating on either side of the midrib. It resembles tatting (handmade lace), hence the common name. Very hardy and easily grown in moist but well-drained neutral to acid soil. This popular form is much sought and quite tolerant of drier sites. Native.

Customer Comments!

When you buy plants by mail order there is an element of trust involved and I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with the service that Penlan Perennials provide. The website and online ordering system is well thought out and efficient and the speed with which the plants are despatched and delivered is excellent. The plants are all exactly as you promised and all have a good root system and look strong and healthy. NF, Devon, September 2006
