A beautiful yellow leaved Aquilegia which retains its leaf colour for most of the year. A hybrid with the dark black backed flowers of A. vulgaris 'William Guiness' (below) and the golden yellow leaves of A. vulgaris 'Woodside'. (the photo shows the leaves on emergence before the yellow pigment develops). The leaves do turn green if placed in too shady a position. Enjoys a rich moist soil.
