Penlan Perennials is a specialist peat free nursery, propagating and growing choice perennial plants for the eco-conscious gardener. Almost all of our plants are perennial, many are native and the vast majority are fully hardy. We garden organically in an environmentally responsible way and try to reflect this in the nursery. All our plants are grown in peat free compost made from sustainable materials and raised without the use of chemical sprays or artificial fertilisers. We use recycled paper and packaging throughout the mail order process. 

Every plant featured on this site is in stock and ready for immediate dispatch. We normally acknowledge and process all orders within 24 hours of receipt so there is no long wait for your plants. During the winter months we offer an overwintering service. Our perennial plants are delivered to you within a one hour time slot by overnight express courier service. New plants are added regularly during the growing season and can be seen at the bottom of this page, together with our monthly Special Offers. You can also download a Free Catalogue which lists all our plants and not just the current online selection. We see little point in keeping plants on the site with 'Sold Out' next to them! Sign up for our quarterly Newsletter to receive discounts, vouchers and special offers. We export throughout the European Union so you can also view and buy in € Euro, just change the currency selector on the left.

If you create an account with us you can hold plants in your shopping basket until you are ready to checkout your order. This allows you to add and subtract plants over a period of several days if you are buying for a particular garden project!

There are over 200 pond plants and bog garden or waterside plants, including waterlilies, for your pond, water feature or bog garden. We offer a wide choice of native ferns to complement an extensive range of shade loving and woodland plants, to give year round interest and colour in the most challenging parts of the garden. There are also 150 slug and snail proof Hardy Geraniums to choose from. Finally, we also offer a number of good-value Plant Collections and a range of Gift Vouchers available in Sterling or Euro denominations.

Plants sent out by mail order are the same size and quality as those sold we sell at the nursery. The photo shows a typical 1.5 litre / 15cm/6" pot grown plant with a 30cm (1ft) ruler for comparison.
